The Major League Baseball teams the Houston Astros and Texas Rangers are based in Texas, and it even has a National Hockey League team in the Dallas Stars. But football is king in Texas with people attending not just college ball but even high school games. Of course, the NFL teams the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Texans rein supreme. Rodeo and NASCAR are also popular pastimes in Texas.
